The Kingwood Christian School softball team swept Prattville Christian in a doubleheader April 25.

The Lions defeated Prattville Christian 8-3 in the opener.

Kaylyn Ingram led Kingwood Christian (39-2) at the plate as she finished 1-for-3 with a home run and drove in three runs.

Jordan Gray, Madeline Lee and Erin Jones added a double each. Whitney Gillespie finished 2-for-3 with two singles and drove in three runs.

Madeline Lee allowed three runs on three hits with three strikeouts in four innings as she picked up the win in the circle. Gillespie struck out three batters in the final inning.

The Lions defeated Prattville Christian 14-0 in the nightcap.

Karley Chamblee led the Lions as she finished 3-for-3 with a double at the plate.

Jones went 2-for-4 at the plate with two doubles. Ingram finished 1-for-3 with a grand-slam homer. Gillespie finished with a double.

Ingram earned the win in the circle after striking out six batters in a five-inning complete game.
