The Pelham High School softball team fell to Sumiton Christian 5-2 in high school softball action April 29.

Heather McGuirk led the Panthers at the plate as she finished 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and a run scored.

Mary Morgan Dramer finished 1-for-3 at the plate and scored a run.

Becky Fox took the loss in the circle after giving up two earned runs on six hits with four strikeouts and a walk in 4 2/3 innings.

Jennifer Davis allowed two earned runs on two hits with a strikeout in 2 1/3 innings.
