The Calera High School softball team defeated Tarrant 15-4 in its final Class 4A, Area 8 contest May 5.

Kymber McGiboney led the Eagles as she finished 3-for-4 at the plate. McGiboney drove in three runs and scored one run in the victory.

Shelby Clark finished 2-for-4 at the plate and scored four runs. Katie Eiland, who drove in two runs and scored two runs, went 2-for-2 at the plate. Brittany Files finished 2-for-4 at the plate and scored one run.

Skyler Laird, who drove in one run and scored two runs, finished 1-for-4 at the plate. Jocelyn Davis went 1-for-3 at the plate and scored two runs. Anna Seabury, who drove in one run and scored one run, finished 1-for-4 at the plate with a double.

Morgan Tate scored two runs. Lindsey Hammac scored one run in the victory.

Somer Roberson gave up three earned runs with six strikeouts and five walks in three innings. Eiland gave up just one hit with two strikeouts and two walks in three innings.
