The Indian Springs School boys’ soccer team edged Altamont 1-0 in the quarterfinal round of the Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 4A-1A playoffs May 7.

Joseph Simonetti scored the lone goal for Indian Springs (25-2-3) on a penalty kick in the 52nd minute.

GIRLS

The Indian Springs School girls’ soccer team defeated Holy Spirit 1-0 in the quarterfinal round of the Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 4A-1A playoffs May 7.

Laura McMullan scored the lone goal for Indian Springs (20-5) off an assist by Paula Simonetti.

Indian Springs goalkeeper Andrew Mayo finished with nine saves in the victory.
