The Spain Park High School softball team defeated Vestavia Hills 3-2 in the Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 6A, Area 12 championship game May 7.

Keri Krake drove in Dekayla Sankey for the game-winning run in the ninth inning.

Krake finished with three hits and drove in two runs. April Scott added two hits for the Jaguars, who improved to 34-18.

Haleigh Sisson earned the win in the circle after giving up one earned run with three strikeouts in a complete game.
