Three Montevallo baseball players named to all-academic team

The University of Montevallo baseball team was awarded three spots on the Peach Belt Conference All-Academic team.
Senior Josh Dabbs, sophomore Austin Dubberly and junior Josh Headley were all named to the All-Academic Team.
Dabbs holds a 3.63 grade point average in kinesiology at Montevallo. This is his first All-Academic selection.
Dubberly, a Pelham High School graduate, holds a 3.58 GPA in management at Montevallo and is also a first-time member of the All-Academic team.
Headley holds a 3.68 GPA in biochemistry and this is his second Peach Belt Conference All-Academic selection after being named first team All-Academic last season.
The team is part of a season-long program recognizing the outstanding accomplishments of Peach Belt Conference student-athletes in the classroom as well as on the field. To be eligible for the All-Academic team, a student-athlete must participate in at least half of his/her team’s events and be either a starter or significant contributor; have achieved a 3.20 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale and have completed at least one full academic year at his or her current institution.
The Peach Belt Conference Sports Information Directors oversee and select the teams.
