Teachers receive $35,000 in grants

The Greater Shelby County Education Foundation recently awarded $35,000 in grants to teachers in Shelby County Schools.

Funding was acquired from a grant given to the foundation by Wells Fargo, as well as a portion from the profits of the recent “Coupons for Classes” campaign.

The foundation received more than 150 grant requests this year.
