Francesca “Frankie” Thompson turned sweet 16 on April 25. She celebrated at O’Charley’s with her family and brother. She will be a junior at Valleydale Christian Academy in the fall and is active in her church, Pelham Church of God. She has been an active member in the Shelby Co. 4-H Horse Club for five years and is currently the secretary. She volunteers at her church, as well as, Harrington Equine Hospital and UltraEquine to prepare for a career as a veterinarian one day.

She is the daughter of William “Pal” and Donna (Hill) Thompson of Pelham. She is the granddaughter of John Ed and Frances (Brasher Hill) Owens of Pelham. Also, she is the granddaughter of the late James Bobby Hill formerly of Pelham and the late Johnie and Vera Thompson formerly of Bessemer/Clanton.
