Eleven earn way into Greystone Invitational field

Eleven golfers earned their way into the 11th annual Greystone Invitational following a qualifying round June 18 at the Founders Course at Greystone Golf and Country Club.
John Russo posted the best score in the qualifying round with his even par 72 and clinched a spot in the Invitational, which will be held June 23-26.
Austen Dailey, Mike Genovese and Scott Martin each finished in a three-way tie for second in the qualifying tournament with a 2-over par 74. Jake Tucker came in fifth overall with his 3-over par 75.
Trent Alexander, Barrett Edens, Steven Groover, Ryan Hughes, Zac Love and Michael Ulmer were the final golfers to earn a spot in the Invitational after finishing in a 6-way tie for sixth overall with a 4-over par 76.
Justin Cho and Mason Haynes just missed the cut after carding a 5-over par 77 and finishing in a two-way tie for 12th in individual standings.
The Invitational gets underway Thursday, June 23 at 7:30 a.m. when Zane Goldthorp, Woodie Eubanks and Jeff Wilson tee off on the first hole.
Eubanks won the 2008 Greystone Invitational. Glenn Northcutt, the 2010 champion, and Justin Yoder, the 2009 champion, are not participating in this year’s Invitational.
The tournament wraps up Sunday, June 26.
