In an effort to test the weather sirens in Shelby County, Shelby County Emergency Management will be testing sirens throughout the day on Thursday, July 14, weather permitting.

The county is moving to an automatic siren activation system, and will be testing the system during the drill. Residents who hear the sirens and are unsure about the weather should tune into a local television station.
