Pleasant Grove boy dies in Chelsea car accident

CHELSEA – One person was killed and another injured in a two-car accident Aug. 21 on U.S. 280.

Killed was a 15-year-old boy from Pleasant Grove, according a press release from the Alabama Department of Public Safety’s Highway Patrol Division. The boy’s name was not released.

He was a passenger in a 1996 Acura Integra driven by Corey Nimm, 28, of Pleasant Grove. Nimm was injured in the accident.

The driver of the second vehicle, Marsha Cooper, 33, of Columbiana, was not injured in the crash, which occurred at 4:14 p.m.
