The Evangel Christian School volleyball team defeated The Rock Christian School 25-9, 25-15, 25-8 in high school volleyball action Aug. 22.

Kierson McGriff led the Lightning (2-0) with five kills and nine service aces in the victory.

Erica Williams added two kills and five service aces. Kate Foster, who had six service aces, and Elizabeth Ragland finished with one kill each. Ragland and Bethany Letson finished with seven service aces each.

Erin Morris led Evangel Christian with six assists in the match.
