Harold Ralph Walker, 86, died peacefully at home Aug. 22, 2011. Born Aug 27, 1924 in Cullman, he graduated from Cullman High in 1942 and was inducted into the Army to serve in the “European Theater.” He was an infantry scout in the Battle of the Bulge. In 1950 he obtained a bachelor’s from Birmingham Southern. For 35 years, Harold was a developer/homebuilder. He loved his profession; first-time buyers were precious to him. He was a member of the Pelham (Keystone) Church of Christ and raised a Christian family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence A. and Edith Walker, and brother, Hoyt D. Walker. He is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, Frances J. Walker, and five children, Larry Stephen Walker (Becky) of Mtn. Rest, S.C.; Connie Buchanan (James), Texas, Zelda Dale Walker, Florida, Dixie Walker, Alabama, and Fran Walker, Alabama; six grandchildren, three “great-grands;” and a host of friends and relatives.
