The Evangel Christian School volleyball team swept New Life Christian 25-17, 25-14, 25-15 in high school volleyball action Aug. 30.

Sophomore Kierson McGriff led the Lightning (4-0) with 11 kills in the victory. McGriff added a team-high 16 digs and three service aces in the match.

Sophomore Elizabeth Ragland contributed nine kills, four service aces and 13 digs. Sophomore Anna Byers added four kills, five digs and one assist in the match.

Senior Kate Foster finished with two kills, two service aces, nine assists and 12 digs. Sophomore Erica Williams chipped in one kill, one block, two digs and four service aces.

Junior Erin Morris contributed three digs and a team-high 13 assists in the match. Sophomore Ali Wren contributed 11 digs. Junior Bethany Letson finished with three digs in the match.
