Calera drops region opener against Beauregard

The Calera High School football team fell to Beauregard 55-7 in its Class 4A, Region 3 opener Sept. 2.

Running back Sam Adams scored the lone touchdown for the Eagles on an 18-yard run, which temporarily cut the deficit to 17-7.

Beauregard reeled off 38 consecutive unanswered points the rest of the way.
