Cissy Ford of Gardendale is proud to announce the engagement of her daughter, Amie Ford, to Zak Moore, son of Glenn and Dianna Moore of Alabaster.

Amie is the granddaughter of Martha Peppers of Green Pond. She graduated from Gardendale High School in 2007 and attended the University of Montevallo to study photography.

Zak is the grandson of Dorothy Moore of Atmore, Joyce Miller of Ponchatoula, La., and George Miller of Pineville, La.He graduated from Thompson High School in 2007 and is currently attending Columbia Southern University to study fire science. He is currently employed by Publix.

The wedding will take place Sept. 24, 2011.
