Former Oak Mountain High School boys’ soccer standout Chandler Hoffman, a junior at UCLA, was named the SoccerSavings.com/LASoccerNews.com men’s college soccer Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 11.

Hoffman scored a goal in each of UCLA’s two weekend games while leading the Bruins to a pair of wins.

On Sept. 9, Hoffman gave the Bruins a 1-0 lead in the 49th minute of a 2-1 win over St. Mary’s, finishing off a cross from Shawn Singh.

On Sept. 11, Hoffman scored the game winner win a 2-1 victory over Loyola Marymount. The goal was his fourth in as many games this season.
