Gill-Buff

Lindsey Michelle Gill and Joseph Alan Buff were united in marriage on July 8, 2011 at 7 p.m. at The Sonnet House in Leeds.

Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Ocie Speer of Columbiana and Mr. and Mrs. Roger Gill of Montevallo. She is the granddaughter of Ms. Bobbie Ray and the late Truitt Ray of Columbiana and the late Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Gill of Shelby.

Parents of the groom are Ms. Brenda Worthy of Columbiana and Mr. Mark Buff of Clanton. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. D.B. Buff of Pelham and the late Ms. Audrey Holsomback of Alabaster.

Given in marriage by her brother, Justin Glass, the bride wore an ivory, mermaid-style strapless gown adorned with a crystal and pearl beaded waistline. Paris Pate Childress, friend of the bride, served as matron of honor. Honor attendant was Jadyn Jones, daughter of the bride. Bridesmaids were Julie Dennis Horton, Lauren Davis Ruston, Saconda Bailey Vanderslice, Krys Fortenberry Wilkins and Dale Fortenberry Joiner. Junior bridesmaid was Destiny Worthy, sister of the groom, and flower girl was Caitlin Buff, niece of the groom.

The best man was Josh Buff, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Mark Buff, Scott Buff, Preston Shoemake, Chris Monroe and Jason Pavey. Connor Buff, nephew of the groom, served as ring bearer.

The ceremony was officiated by Bro. Allen Dennis, former pastor of the bride. A reception was held after the ceremony on the grounds of The Sonnet House. The couple now resides in Birmingham.
