The Kingwood Christian School volleyball team defeated Pickens Academy 25-18, 25-16, 25-17 in an Alabama Independent Schools Association Class 2A, Region 2 match Sept. 13.

Sophomore Madelyn Pearce led the Lions (9-5 overall, 4-1 in AISA Class 2A, Region 2) with six kills. Pearce also contributed two service aces in the match.

Senior Emily Trimble added three kills, two service aces and five assists. Senior Karley Chamblee recorded six service aces and a team-high 17 assists in the match.
