After falling behind late in game three, the Montevallo High School volleyball team rallied for seven straight points on Sarah Hyde’s serve to pick up an Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 3A, Area 7 win Sept. 13 at Hale County with a 25-10, 25-16, 25-23 victory.

The Bulldogs improved to 9-0 on the season with the win.

Mallory Anderson finished with 19 kills and 18 digs. Fellow senior Kathryn Ray dished out a team-high 23 assists.  McKenna Anderson contributed eight kills and 16 digs.

Hyde added a team-high five service aces, with three coming in the final rally.

Montevallo seniors will be honored prior to the Bulldogs’ match Sept. 15 against Bibb County.
