The Chelsea High School volleyball team defeated Shelby County in the Silver Division tournament championship match Sept. 17 at the Brooks Invitational.

The Hornets defeated Shelby County 26-24, 25-20 in the title match.

Samantha Colyer led Chelsea with seven kills in the victory.

Courtney Campbell chipped in three service aces. Emma Cotney posted a team-high 13 digs. Jesse Vohler contributed a team-high 13 assists.

Chelsea defeated Brookwood 25-11, 18-25, 15-10 in the tournament semifinals.

Colyer led the Hornets with six kills in the victory. Cotney finished with 27 digs. Vohler registered 11 assists.

The Hornets defeated American Christian Academy 25-18, 25-11 in a pool play match.

Colyer registered six kills, five service aces and two blocks in the win.

Holly Marbut recorded a team-high eight digs. Vohler registered nine assists.

Chelsea defeated Northridge 24-26, 14-25 in a pool play match.

Marbut led the Hornets with seven kills and four service aces in the victory.

Cotney posted 11 digs. Chelsea Tyson recorded two blocks in the match.

The Hornets defeated Hillcrest 25-13, 25-27, 15-8 in a pool play match.

Marbut posted a team-high nine kills in the victory.

Campbell finished with four service aces. Kacie Craft registered a team-high 15 digs. Vohler finished with 17 assists.
