Barbara Jean Griffin, 74, of Maylene passed away Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011, at her residence surrounded by her family who loved her dearly and will miss her immensely. Mrs. Griffin is survived by her husband, Charles; daughter, Debra Jean Peterson (John); sons, Ricky J. Pickett (Cindy) and Charly Griffin (Pam); brother, John Galloway (Sarah); six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Oliver Orlando Galloway; mother, Nellie Pearl Galloway; brother, Oliver Orlando Galloway Jr.; sister, Annie Jo Culberson; and grandson, Tyler Ryan Carter.

A special thanks is extended to Family Comfort Hospice personnel and Ms. Shirley Fields, a special nurse, who ministered to our entire family during this trying time. Visitation will be held Thursday evening, Sept. 22, 2011 at Rockco Funeral Home Chapel, Montevallo from 6-8 p.m. The funeral will be Friday, Sept. 23, 2011, 11 a.m. at the chapel with Rev.
