The Kingwood Christian School volleyball team swept Pickens Academy 25-13, 25-19, 25-19 in an Alabama Independent Schools Association Class 2A, Region 2 match Oct. 4.

Junior Casey Whitmer led the Lions (19-8 overall, 9-2 in AISA Class 2A, Region 2) with 11 kills in the victory. Whitmer also posted two service aces.

Senior Lindsay Cofer finished with six kills. Senior Karley Chamblee added four kills and a team-high 14 assists.

Junior Blair Holsombeck contributed two digs and a team-high 11 service aces.
