The Regions Tradition, a PGA Champions Tour major championship held at Shoal Creek, will change its dates to June 4-10, 2012 for the second edition of the tournament.

The 2011 Regions Tradition, the first in a three-year agreement between the PGA Champions Tour, Shoal Creek and primary sponsor Regions Financial Corp., was held May 2-8.

Tom Lehman claimed the first Regions Tradition after beating Australian Peter Senior in a two-hole playoff. The PGA Champions Tour doesn’t release attendance figures, but the tournament wrapped up in front of a packed grandstand on the 18th green on Mothers’ Day, the final day of the tournament. The event, which also included a pro-am tournament with local celebrities, was televised live by The Golf Channel.
