Irine Poe, age 70, a resident of Shelby, died on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2011 at Bolton Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011 at Bethlehem Baptist Church, with Rev. Archie Maddox and Rev. Michael Goode officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Creek Cemetery.

Miss Poe is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Albert Poe and Florine Bolton Poe; and brother, Allen Poe. She is survived by her brothers, Jerry Poe and Thomas Poe; sister, Helen Poe; nieces and nephews, whom she called her children, Donna Parker, Richard Poe, Linda Keene, Shirley Bramlett, Eugene Poe, Jeremy Poe and Jason Poe; and other family and friends.
