Oak Mountain drops region game at Homewood in overtime

Oak Mountain High School fell to Homewood 14-7 in an Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 6A, Region 6 contest on the road Oct. 14.
The Eagles jumped out to an early 7-0 lead in the opening quarter before Homewood tied the game in the fourth quarter.
Devonta Barnfield-Rapley’s 3-yard touchdown run in overtime lifted the Patriots to victory.
Oak Mountain senior Bradley Bostick scored on a 20-yard touchdown run and Mitch Mathias added the extra point to give the Eagles a 7-0 lead with 4:21 left in the first quarter.
Bostick led the Eagles as he rushed for 68 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries.
