Mary Sue “Meme” Johnson, age 80, a resident of Clanton, died on Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011. Funeral services were 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011 at Siluria Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Jones and Rev. Brooke Lovett officiating. Burial followed at Dargin Cemetery. Visitation was from 6 until 8 p.m., Friday, Oct. 14, 2011 at Bolton Funeral Home. Mrs. Johnson was a member of Siluria Baptist Church for 58 years.

Mrs. Johnson is preceded in death by husbands, James Jackson and Calvin Johnson; granddaughter, Carrie Johnson; parents, Rufus and Verlin Allen; and brothers, William and Eugene Allen. Mrs. Johnson is survived by her daughter, Linda Jackson; stepdaughter, Robin McCabe (Bernard); stepsons, Johnny Johnson and Jim Johnson; grandchildren, Ashley McCabe, Amanda McCabe, Candace Johnson, Kyle Johnson, Jesslyn Johnson and Johnny Johnson Jr.; great-grandchild, Trent Emfinger; brother, Clifton Allen (Pat); sisters, Rosa Lee Allen, Beatrice Massey, Kayrene Page (Joe) and Burnis Griffith; and other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
