Charles Leon Byrd, age 78, of Shelby passed away Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2011 at his home.

He is survived by his wife, Geneva Byrd; sons, Mike, Dwaine and Bryan; daughter, Terri; brothers, Donald and Herschel; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at Rockco Funeral Home Montevallo. Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 21, 2011 at Amazing Grace Worship Center with burial to follow at Still Memorial Cemetery in Alabaster.
