Jimmy G. Baldwin, age 72, of Alabaster passed away Friday, Oct. 28, 2011. He was born Jan. 5, 1939 in Shelby County, where he was a life-long resident. He was preceded in death by his father, James Dillard Baldwin. He is survived by his son, Dale Baldwin (Renee); mother, Mildred Baldwin; two sisters, Sue Lee and Peggy Jernnigan (Jerry); two brothers, Bobby Baldwin (Janet) and Jerry Baldwin; grandchildren, Heather Childers (Tim), Brady Baldwin and Emily Baldwin; and great-grandchildren, Braxton and Blakely Childers.

The family received friends at Charter Funeral Home from noon-1 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2011 with a graveside service that followed at Mt. Era Cemetery in Columbiana. Arrangements were handled by Charter Funeral Home.
