Montevallo senior named to all-conference team

FROM STAFF REPORTS

University of Montevallo senior defender Kristin Rosato was named second team All-Peach Belt Conference following the 2011 season.

Rosato played in all 18 matches for the Falcons this season and became the all-time leader in the Montevallo record book for career matches played. Rosato was the leader on the Falcons’ defense and served as the team captain.

The honor marks the first All-Conference award for Rosato, who has been part of the Montevallo program for five seasons after redshirting during the 2008 season when she suffered an injury in the opening match of the year. Rosato played all over the field for Montevallo, even playing at forward in one match.

Rosato helped the Falcons register a pair of shutouts on the season while holding opponents to 1.72 goals per game average.
