The Shelby County High School girls’ basketball team defeated Pinson Valley 60-37 in the Tipoff at the Mountain round-robin event Nov. 9 at Oak Mountain High School.

After taking a 31-24 lead into the locker room at halftime, the Wildcats outscored the Indians 16-6 in the third quarter and coasted to victory in the second half.

Aulicia Nunn led the Wildcats (2-0) with 32 points in the victory.

Tempest Cantrell added 16 points. Jasmyn Buie finished with six points.

Shelby County will face undefeated Oak Mountain in the final game in the event Nov. 10 at 7:30 p.m.
