The Spain Park High School girls’ basketball team defeated Decatur 57-30 in its opening game at the Brewer Thanksgiving tournament Nov. 23.

Ashley Gaston led the Jaguars with 17 points on 5-of-9 shooting from the floor, including 4-of-5 from 3-point range.

Jasmine Hollis added 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting. Hollis also grabbed six rebounds.

Whitney Gullege finished with nine points and three boards. Kathryn Boswell added seven points, three rebounds and two assists. Victoria Baldwin chipped in six points and a team-high nine rebounds.

Jessica Freeman recorded four points and four rebounds. Takia Mickens finished with two points.
