The Chelsea High School boys’ basketball team defeated Chilton County 52-24 in high school basketball action Nov. 29.

The Hornets dominated in the opening half, outscoring the Tigers 32-6.

Dantavius Washington led Chelsea with 18 points in the victory.

Jake Ganus added eight points and dished out a team-high six assists. Josh Allen contributed six points in the win.

GIRLS

The Chelsea High School girls’ basketball team defeated Chilton County 49-16 in high school basketball action Nov. 29.

Amanda Mock led the Hornets with 29 points in the victory. Mock also grabbed a team-high 12 rebounds.

Perri Lambert contributed eight rebounds, four assists and nine steals for the Hornets, who improved to 2-3 overall.
