The Chelsea High School boys’ basketball team defeated Montevallo 63-52 in high school basketball action Dec. 5.

Jake Ganus led the Hornets with 16 points in the victory. Ganus also grabbed a team-high six rebounds.

Quentin Wilson added 13 points along with a team-high seven steals and eight assists.

Garrius Chappell led Montevallo with a game-high 19 points in the victory. Chappell also dished out a team-high eight assists.

Trevor Chatham added 13 points and a team-high eight rebounds. Korey Cunningham added 10 points.

GIRLS

The Chelsea High School girls’ basketball team defeated Montevallo 53-27 in high school basketball action Dec. 5.

Amanda Mock led the Hornets with 15 points in the victory. Mock also grabbed a team-high 15 rebounds to finish with a double-double.

Allie Luster chipped in 13 points.

Kiah Smith led Montevallo with 10 points.
