The Calera High School girls’ basketball team defeated Dora 55-26 in high school basketball action Dec. 10.

Tyesha Haynes led the Eagles (4-2) with a game-high 24 points in the victory. Haynes scored 10 of her 24 points in the fourth quarter.

Perri Duncan added 16 points in the win. Duncan drained three 3-pointers in the third quarter to spark a 20-2 run by the Eagles.

A’Kia Harris chipped in 11 points.

BOYS

The Calera High School boys’ basketball team defeated Dora 83-67 in high school basketball action Dec. 10.

Deondre Haynes led the Eagles (8-1) with 30 points in the victory.

Jeremy Hyde added 17 points. Ronnie Clark chipped in 11 points in the win.
