Alabaster police are searching for suspects involved in an early morning Dec. 1 robbery at the Wellington Manor apartment complex off Shelby County 68.

Alabaster police Lt. John Anthony said the robbery happened in the 1200 block of the apartment complex at about 1:45 a.m. when multiple suspects approached a man moving into his apartment, assaulted him and stole nearly $2,000 worth of property.

According to police incident reports, the suspects stole a Droid phone valued at $500, a black Ibanez guitar valued at $120, a Seagull acoustic guitar valued at $400, a brown Fossil wallet valued at $50, a Wells Fargo debit card and a driver’s license valued at $15.

Anthony said the department’s criminal investigation division is looking into the crime.
