Shelby County wrestlers top Oneonta

The Shelby County High School wrestling team defeated Oneonta 48-36 in high school wrestling action Dec. 13.

Eight Wildcats won individual matches against Oneonta.

Noah Dorough of Shelby County pinned Jacob Slone of Oneonta in the 106-pound match. Aaron Stagner of Shelby County won his 113-pound match by forfeit.

A.J. Cole of Shelby County won his 120-pound match by forfeit. Tyler Carter of Shelby County won his 126-pound match by forfeit.

Chase Weeks of Shelby County won his 152-pound match by forfeit. Chris Upton of Shelby County pinned Mason Campbell of Oneonta in the 160-pound match.

Luke Miller of Shelby County pinned Logan Claburn of Oneonta in the 170-pound match. Clint Davis of Shelby County won his 195-pound match by forfeit.

The Wildcats fell to Fultondale 54-21. Four Shelby County wrestlers won individual matches against Fultondale.

Chase Weeks of Shelby County earned a 8-4 decision over Dante Stanley of Fultondale in the 152-pound match. Chris Upton of Shelby County pinned Wesley Tidmore of Fultondale in the 160-pound match.

Aaron Stagner and Killian Berens of Shelby County each won by forfeit.

Shelby County dropped a match with Susan Moore 66-18. Three Wildcats won individual matches against Susan Moore.

Tyler Carter of Shelby County pinned Daniel Perez of Susan Moore in 11 seconds in the 126-pound match. Chase Weeks of Shelby County pinned Kent Morgan of Susan Moore in 13 seconds in the 152-pound match.

Chris Upton of Shelby County won his match by forfeit.
