Warriors sweep matches in Dora Duals

The Thompson High School wrestling team defeated Buckhorn and host Dora in the Dora Duals in high school wrestling action Dec. 15.

The Warriors defeated Buckhorn 35-22. Eight Thompson wrestlers won individual matches against Dora.

Jacob Megois of Thompson earned a 12-10 decision over Jordan Thompson of Buckhorn in the 106-pound match. Clay Anthony of Thompson earned a 16-0 technical fall against Keaton Leathers of Buckhorn in the 113-pound match.

Hayden Franklin of Thompson pinned Caleb Harris of Buckhorn in 3:01 in the 132-pound match. Hunter Gatlin of Thompson pinned Corey Parker of Buckhorn in 3:14 in the 138-pound match.

Christopher Lloyd of Thompson earned a 6-1 decision over Josh Hosmer of Buckhorn in the 145-pound match. Cahman Holder of Thompson pinned Emmanuel Keith of Buckhorn in 2:25 in the 160-pound match.

Jacobi Dial of Thompson earned a 10-6 decision over Andrew Cobb of Buckhorn in the 182-pound match. Kolby Newton of Thompson earned a 7-5 decision over Silas Owens of Buckhorn in the 220-pound match.

The Warriors edged Dora 39-37. Seven Thompson wrestlers won individual matches against Dora.

Clay Anthony of Thompson pinned D.J. Scott of Dora in 1:04 in the 113-pound match. Brandon Belser of Thompson pinned Adam Franklin of Dora in 2:27 in the 120-pound match.

Tyler Lacey of Thompson pinned Kenneth Everett of Dora in 1:37 in the 126-pound match. Nick Gillaspie of Thompson earned an 8-2 decision over Zachary Parvin of Dora in the 152-pound match.

Cahman Holder of Thompson pinned Stonie Phillips of Dora in 1:39 in the 160-pound match. Kolby Newton of Thompson pinned Kelvin Doaty of Dora in 1:19 in the 220-pound match.

Jake Rakestraw of Thompson won his heavyweight match by forfeit.
