Michael Lee Whitfield, age 60, of Alabaster went to be with the Lord on Friday, Dec. 9, 2011. He was born on Feb. 26, 1951, the son to the late Tolbert and Frances Elizabeth Henry Whitfield.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Teresa Ann May. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Vicki Whitfield; daughters, Aimee Bullock (David) and Misty Whitfield; sons, Chris Whitfield (Carol) and Shannon Whitfield; brother, Tim Whitfield (Annie); granddaughters, Ashli Whitfield and Katie Whitfield; grandsons, Hunter Bullock, Will Bullock and Michael Davis Whitfield; great-grandson, Brody; great-granddaughter, Isabella; and nieces, Shelley, Julie, Summer and Kori.

There was a memorial service on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2011 at the Lighthouse of Praise Church in Alabaster with an interment following in the Alabama National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations at RBC Bank in Alabaster to aid the family in this difficult time. Charter Funeral Home directed.
