MONTEVALLO — The Montevallo High School boys’ basketball team edged Westminster School at Oak Mountain 52-48 in a consolation game Dec. 20 in the Shelby County basketball tournament at Bank Trust Arena on the University of Montevallo campus.

Garrius Chappell led the Bulldogs (5-7) with 19 points in the victory.

Korey Cunningham added 14 points. Trevor Chatham chipped in 12 points. Marcus Ford finished with seven points.

Jeffrey Stanford led Westminster (4-7) with a game-high 24 points.

Jake Doggett added 13 points. Jacob Welch chipped in eight points. Will Robey finished with three points.
