Panthers defeat Oak Mountain in consolation game

MONTEVALLO — The Pelham High School boys’ basketball team defeated Oak Mountain 46-26 in a consolation game Dec. 20 in the Shelby County tournament Dec. 20 at Bank Trust Arena on the University of Montevallo campus.
Xavier Lacey led the Panthers (8-4) with 13 points in the victory. Lacey also finished with five steals.
Justin Brooks added 12 points. Qadash Williams chipped in seven points. Willie Simpson contributed six points.
Kenny Meadows added four points. Justice Clark contributed two points. D.J. Johnson led Pelham with four rebounds.
Graham McArthur led Oak Mountain with seven points.
Chris Marino added four points. Austin Jenkins and Jordan Pierce chipped in three points each.
Pierce Clarke, John Michael Miller and Will Moro finished with two points each. Chris Lamb contributed one point. Justin Whisenant added two points and led the Eagles with seven rebounds.
Pelham outscored Oak Mountain 25-9 in the second half, including a 14-0 run in the fourth quarter to stretch its lead to 44-23 with 2:45 remaining in the game.
