The Spain Park High School girls’ basketball team defeated Hartselle 54-37 in the River City Classic tournament semifinals Dec. 28 in Decatur.

The Jaguars (10-7) will face Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa in the tournament championship game Dec. 29 at 11 a.m.

Jessica Freeman led Spain Park with 23 points in the victory. Freeman also grabbed 10 rebounds to finish with a double-double.

Whitney Gulledge added 12 points and three rebounds. Victoria Baldwin chipped in nine points and a team-high 11 boards.

Kathryn Boswell contributed seven points, three rebounds and a team-high two assists. Ashley Gaston finished with two points and two steals. Jasmine Hollis chipped in one point.
