The Spain Park High School girls’ basketball team fell to Clarksville High School (Tenn.) 69-35 in the championship game of the River City Classic tournament Dec. 29 in Decatur.

Jessica Freeman led the Jaguars with 14 points.

Whitney Gulledge added 10 points. Takia Mickens contributed five points.

Victoria Baldwin chipped in four points. Ashley Gaston finished with two points.

Spain Park defeated Hillcrest High School of Tuscaloosa 57-41 in the semifinals Dec. 29.

Baldwin led the Jaguars with a game-high 25 points. Baldwin also grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds to finish with a double-double.

Kathryn Boswell added 10 points, three rebounds and five assists. Gaston chipped in eight points.

Freeman contributed six points and three assists. Gulledge added four points and three assists.

Jasmine Moore and Jasmine Hollis finished with two points each.
