The Thompson High School boys’ basketball team defeated Dallas County 59-45 in its opening game of its Intelligent Parking Systems Invitational tournament Dec. 29.

The Warriors (12-4) will face Oxford in the championship game Dec. 30 at 7:30 p.m.

Demarcus Threatt led Thompson with a game-high 14 points in the win over Dallas County. Threatt also grabbed six rebounds in the win.

Duke Thomas added 12 points and a team-high 10 rebounds in the win to finish with a double-double. Jaylon Jones also chipped in 12 points in the victory.
