HOOVER — Faith Presbyterian Church will chip Christmas trees Jan. 7 and give away the mulch to anyone from the community, according to a church press release.

Anyone can donate Christmas trees by bringing trees with no ornaments, tinsel or flocking to the church at any time before Jan. 7.

Free mulch will be available Jan. 7 as the chipper makes it. Those who would like to take mulch must provide their own bags or vehicle to pick up the mulch.

If weather prevents the chipping process Jan. 7, mulch will be available to the community Jan. 14.
