The Cornerstone Christian School boys’ basketball team defeated Ellwood Christian 73-70 in overtime in an Alabama Independent Schools Association Class 1A, Area 1 contest Jan. 12.

Kendall Moore led the Chargers (10-4 overall, 2-1 in AISA Class 1A, Area 1) with 26 points in the victory.

Hagan Joiner added 14 points in the win. B.J. Smith and Chase Payne contributed eight points each.
