The Thompson High School boys’ basketball team defeated Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa 72-67 in overtime in high school basketball action Jan. 30.

Caleb Johnson led the Warriors (19-7) with 21 points, including seven 3-pointers, in the victory.

Kenny Nabors added 18 points, including four 3-pointers. Jaylon Jones chipped in 15 points.

GIRLS

The Thompson High School girls’ basketball team defeated Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa 59-44 in high school basketball action Jan. 30.

Abby Kreuser led the Warriors (15-10) with 14 points in the victory. Kreuser also grabbed 10 rebounds to finish with a double-double.

KaDeisha Stowes also recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Kat Cingoranelli finished with 13 points, five rebounds and four steals in the win.
