Greg Dale Horton, age 53, a resident of Shelby, died on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012 at Bolton Funeral Home, with Rev. William Short officiating. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Gardens. Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 3, 2012, from 6-8 p.m. at Bolton Funeral Home.

Mr. Horton is preceded in death by his father, Billy Horton, and his brother, Perry Horton. He is survived by his wife, Gina Horton; daughter, Brooke Smith (Jamey); son, Sean Horton; grandsons, Skylar and Parker Smith; mother, Evaughn Gould (Jim); brothers, Bobby Horton (Frankie) and Ray Horton (Diane); sisters, Lavada Carden (Robert) and Pam Bullock; sister-in-law, Becky Horton; and other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
