Jaguars top Montgomery Academy in tennis match

The Spain Park High School boys’ tennis team defeated Montgomery Academy 6-3 in high school tennis action Feb. 15.

The Jaguars won four of six singles’ matches and two of three doubles’ matches against Montgomery Academy.

Hunter Carroll of Montgomery Academy defeated Jack Nicholas 6-4, 6-3 in the No. 1 singles’ match. Will Hartsock of Spain Park defeated Bo Torbert 8-4 in the No. 2 singles’ match.

Brit Sovic of Spain Park defeated Bonner McLemore of Montgomery Academy 3-6, 7-6 (8-6), 10-5 in the No. 3 singles’ match. Whalen Merrill of Spain Park defeated Guy Hood of Montgomery Academy 6-4, 6-0 in the No. 4 singles’ match.

Allen Millsap of Montgomery Academy defeated Baylor Cocke of Spain Park 6-3, 7-6 in the No. 5 singles’ match. Connor Rains of Spain Park defeated Clayton Muller of Montgomery Academy 6-4, 6-3 in the No. 6 singles’ match.

Nicholas and Hartsock defeated Carroll and Hood 11-9 in the No. 1 doubles’ match. Sovic and Merrill defeated Torbert and McLemore 10-7 in the No. 2 doubles’ match.

Miillsap and Muller defeated Cocke and Sam Lorino of Spain Park 10-8 in the No. 3 doubles’ match.
