The Pelham High School girls’ soccer team fell to Hoover 2-1 following a penalty-kick shootout in high school soccer action Feb. 16.

The Buccaneers outscored the Panthers 4-2 in the penalty-kick shootout after two scoreless overtime sessions.

Mara DeLuca scored the lone goal or Pelham (0-1-1) in the 78th minute of the match on a free kick.

Pelham goalkeeper Selina Delgadillo recorded 10 saves in the match.
